In a thrilling IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a one-sided match. Mitchell Starc led KKR's bowling attack, restricting SRH to just 113 runs—the lowest total in an IPL final.

Australian fast bowler Starc took two wickets for 14 runs. Andre Russell and Harshit Rana took five more wickets, dismissing SRH in 18.3 overs. In response, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 39 off 32 balls, and Venkatesh Iyer remained unbeaten with 52 off 26 balls, leading KKR to an eight-wicket win over SRH. This victory marked KKR's third IPL title.
How much did KKR earn after 3rd title win?
Even though there is no official statement from the IPL, the prize money for this season is expected to be the same as last year. Thus, the total prize money pool was INR 46.5 crore for IPL 2024. KKR will earn INR 20 crore for winning the IPL 2024. Sunrisers Hyderabad will get INR 12.5 crore for finishing second, and Rajasthan Royals will receive INR 7 crore for third place. Royal Challengers Bangalore will take home INR 6.5 crore for finishing fourth.
Kohli and Harshal gets INR 10 lakh each
Batting icon Virat Kohli will receive INR 10 lakh for being the top run-scorer and winning the Orange Cap in IPL 2024. Harshal Patel of Punjab Kings, who took the most wickets and won the Purple Cap, will also get INR 10 lakh. The Emerging Player of the Tournament and the Most Valuable Player will receive INR 20 lakh and INR 12 lakh, respectively.
