A Delhi-based startup company boAt (legal name – “Imagine Marketing Services Pvt. Ltd ) was started in 2016. It markets electronic goods such as earphones, headphones, speakers, and travel chargers, etc. The main motive behind the company boAt is to provide trendy, affordable, and stylish electronic goods to people. boAt’s tagline is Plug into Nirvana.

Beginning Of boat
Initially with a mindset to stir up consumer electronics, a startup Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta together started a startup termed boAt. Initially the company started as a cable manufacturer and seller.
The company’s main motive was to provide fashionable, afffordable and durable electronic items. With this prespective, in the year 2016, both the founders launched boAt. Aman Gupta boAt company was all set to shift their business from nothing to one of the best brands for earpods and headphones.
Aman gupta has born in Delhi in 1982, completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. He completed a bachelor’s in commerce from Delhi University. Adding one more accomplishment to his education, he is also a chartered accountant. He then did his M.B.A from the Indian school of business and also pursued his second MBS from Kellogg graduate school of management.

boAt started owning the market, by the 4th year of the company establishment. With a team of 25 members and the offices located in Delhi and Mumbai, boat stood out from the other companies in the same market, and a huge happy family of more than 8 lakh customers.

In its first two years of operation the company made Rs 100 crores in sales. boAt‘s very first product was an Apple charging cord and charger. The Apple charger instantly became the best-selling item on Amazon. In 2019, it outshined Apple as the leading brand in the earwear category.
Soon enough, Aman Gupta was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the Consumer Durables category in 2020. Today, the firm operates around 5,000 outlets across the country. So far, they have sold their products to over 20 million people and still counting.
Aman stated in an interview that they believe in yielding money rather than burning money. The company has been profitable since its foundation. Their primary purpose is to sell things that are durable, inexpensive, and fashionable.
In 2022, boAt will be the world’s fifth-largest wearable brand. The company’s brand ambassadors include singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh as one of their new brand ambassadors with an aim to add a 'desi vibe' to their brand and also the singer AP Dhillon. boAt recently onboards Rashmika Mandanna as their new female brand ambassador.
